The Graduate School of CPU seeks applicants who demonstrate academic readiness, professional motivation, and personal qualities suited to the counseling profession. We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds who are committed to serving others through professional counseling.

Master’s Programs Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Completed graduate application form
  • Official transcripts from all institutions attended
  • Personal statement (500-750 words)
  • Three professional/academic references
  • Current resume or curriculum vitae
  • Application fee

Doctoral Programs Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling or related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 in master’s coursework
  • Professional counseling experience (preferred)
  • Writing sample or published work
  • Research interest statement
  • Three professional references (including clinical supervisor)
  • Current resume or curriculum vitae
  • Interview with program faculty
