History of PTSA

The Presbyterian Theological Seminary in America was established as a graduate school of California Pacific University to address the growing need for well-trained, culturally competent ministry leaders in an increasingly diverse society.

From its founding, PTSA has been committed to the Reformed theological tradition while embracing the multicultural reality of the contemporary church. The seminary has grown from a small program serving primarily Korean-American communities to a diverse institution educating students from many nations and denominational backgrounds.
