How to Apply
Step 1: Complete the FAFSA
File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov. CPU's Federal School Code is [XXXXX]. The FAFSA becomes available on October 1 each year for the following academic year.
Step 2: Review Your Student Aid Report (SAR)
After submitting the FAFSA, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR). Review it carefully for accuracy and make corrections if needed.
Step 3: Verification (if selected)
If selected for verification, submit required documentation to the Financial Aid Office. This may include tax transcripts, verification worksheets, and other supporting documents.
Step 4: Review Your Award Letter
Once processed, you will receive a financial aid award letter detailing the types and amounts of aid offered. Review the terms carefully and accept or decline each award.
Step 5: Complete Loan Requirements
First-time loan borrowers must complete entrance counseling and sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN) at studentaid.gov before loan funds can be disbursed.
