Financial Aid Eligibility
To receive federal financial aid, students must meet the following eligibility requirements established by the U.S. Department of Education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Have a valid Social Security Number
- Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an eligible degree or certificate program
- Be enrolled at least half-time for most loan programs
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Not be in default on any federal student loan
- Not owe a refund on any federal student grant
- Register with Selective Service (if required)
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually
