Title IV Federal Financial Aid
California Pacific University participates in the Title IV Federal Financial Aid programs authorized by the Higher Education Act. These programs provide grants, loans, and work-study opportunities to eligible students.
Available Programs
Federal Pell Grant
Need-based grant for undergraduate students who have not yet earned a bachelor's degree. Award amounts vary based on financial need, enrollment status, and cost of attendance. Pell Grants do not need to be repaid.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
Additional need-based grant for undergraduate students with exceptional financial need. Priority is given to Federal Pell Grant recipients. Limited funding available.
Federal Direct Subsidized Loans
Need-based loans for undergraduate students. The government pays interest while the student is enrolled at least half-time, during the grace period, and during deferment periods.
Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans
Non-need-based loans available to undergraduate and graduate students. Interest accrues from the date of disbursement. Students may choose to pay interest while in school or have it capitalized.
Federal Work-Study
Part-time employment for students with financial need. Students work on campus or in approved community service positions, earning at least the current minimum wage.
