English as a Second Language (ESL)
The ESL program at CPU provides comprehensive English language instruction for international students and community members. Our program develops reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through immersive, communicative-based instruction.
Students progress through multiple proficiency levels, preparing them for academic study, professional advancement, or daily communication in English.

Program Levels
Beginning Level
Foundation courses in basic English communication, vocabulary building, grammar fundamentals, and everyday conversation skills for students with limited English proficiency.
Intermediate Level
Development of reading comprehension, paragraph writing, listening skills, and conversational fluency. Students begin engaging with academic-level content and more complex grammar structures.
Advanced Level
Preparation for academic English including essay writing, research skills, academic presentations, and TOEFL/IELTS preparation. Students develop the proficiency needed for degree program admission.
